Pay rises
Under the agreement of 14 February 2026: 2.8%, at least €100, from 1 April 2026, a further 2.0% from 1 March 2027 and 1.0% from 1 January 2028.
Allowances
University hospitals, forensic psychiatry and prisons pay a nursing allowance of €163.51 a month (€166.78 from 1 March 2027). For non-medical staff at university and other hospitals, rotating shift pay has been €250 and shift pay €100 a month since 1 July 2026.
Steps
KR 5 and KR 6 have six steps, KR 7 to KR 17 steps 2 to 6 with entry at step 2. With at least two years of relevant experience with another employer you start at step 3.
Annual bonus
Through the matching to the general table: KR 5 and KR 6 87.43%, KR 7 and KR 8 88.14%, KR 9 to KR 15 74.35%, KR 16 and KR 17 46.47%.
Working hours
In the West 38.5 hours for hospital staff, in the East 40 hours.

Frequently asked questions
How does it differ from the TVöD P table?
The KR table applies to the federal states, the P table to municipalities and federal staff. Values and allowances differ.
Does the table apply to part time?
Part-time staff receive table pay and allowances pro rata to their agreed weekly hours.
