How Salneto calculates
Salary calculators disagree with each other more than most people expect, for the same input, published results across popular sites can differ by thousands per year. Our answer is radical transparency: every engine is built from the official published rules, and every page below lists the exact figures, legal sources and assumptions we use.
- United Kingdom (2026/27), HMRC rates and thresholds
- Germany (2026), official BMF wage tax program and social insurance values (auf Deutsch)
- Australia (2026-27), legislated brackets, Medicare, STSL
- New Zealand (2026-27), IRD rates, ACC levy, KiwiSaver
- Ireland (2026), Revenue bands, USC, PRSI
- USA (2026), IRS brackets, FICA, state coverage
- Singapore (YA 2027), IRAS scale, CPF rates and ceilings
- Netherlands (2026), enacted Box 1 rates, credit formulas, 30% ruling
- Austria (2026), tariff, SV incl. Vienna, 13th/14th salary rules

Our rules
- Official sources only. Rates come from the tax authority or the law itself, never copied from commercial calculators; official calculators (ESTV, BMF) are used as references.
- Automated tests. Every engine ships with a test suite of hand-verified fixtures that must pass before any update goes live.
- Stated assumptions. Every result lists the assumptions that produced it, and our after-tax, hourly and most guide pages show their last-updated date.
- No advice. Salneto is general information, not tax advice. For decisions, confirm with the authority or a qualified adviser.
