Singapore methodology (YA 2027, 2026 income)

Income tax

IRAS resident progressive scale (unchanged since YA 2024): 0% on the first S$20,000 rising through 11 bands to 24% above S$1,000,000; no personal tax rebate for YA 2027. Residents are assessed annually: there is no payroll withholding, so we show tax as an annual amount and spread it monthly for comparability. Non-residents (61-182 days): employment income at the higher of 15% flat or resident rates, no reliefs.

CPF (from 1 January 2026)

Employee/employer shares by age: 20/17 (≤55), 18/16, 12.5/12.5, 7.5/9, 5/7.5. Ordinary Wage ceiling S$8,000/month; Additional Wage ceiling S$102,000 minus CPF-subject OW. Foreigners on work passes are outside CPF. First- and second-year PR graduated rates are not yet modelled.

Reliefs applied

Earned Income Relief (S$1,000 under 55; S$6,000 for 55-59; S$8,000 for 60+) and CPF relief equal to employee contributions. Family reliefs (QCR, parent, NSman, spouse), SRS and insurance reliefs are not modelled, so real bills are often lower. The overall S$80,000 relief cap is respected implicitly.

Not modelled

SHG monthly contributions (CDAC/ECF/MBMF/SINDA: a few dollars, opt-out), employer SDL, PR graduated rates, and Budget one-off rebates if announced.
